The Master Scheduler in Birr Rotor Shop is working in the Materials Management Organization as a production planner for the manufacturing of generator rotors, gas turbine rotors and steam turbine rotors. The person is responsible for the delivery reliability of our customer orders, taking into account inventory reduction and optimal resource utilization.
The Master Scheduler acts as the central conductor between all production stakeholders involved, such as manufacturing engineers, production operators, procurement and sourcing, material planners and the quality department. Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to the Master Schedule with the goal of achieving 90% OTD while maximizing the utilization of production resources (machinery and personnel) and minimizing inventory levels
- Production Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Microsoft Project and FELIOS (APS in GEV Birr)
- Feasibility & Analysis: Perform feasibility analyses and conduct thorough reviews of customer orders, forecasts, and quotations.
- Resource & Capacity Management: Provide support for capacity utilization analysis and long-term production planning.
- Reporting & Coordination: Conduct regular planning meetings with department leaders to align shop floor execution with business goals and priorities.
- System Maintenance: Track project hours and completion status within SAP (PowerMax).
- Procurement & Inventory Support: Lead the development and management of procurement analyses; assist in the inventory optimization projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including the enhancement of relevant systems (with main focus on APS FELIOS)
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in project teams and corporate programs to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
- Support Fulfillment team in customer care -> work on Customer satisfaction, understand demand trends and support proposal giving.
- Serve as the foundation for the Senior Management’s S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and resource planning processes.
Requirements:
- Proven professional experience in scheduling, production planning or relevant field
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with Major experience in Supply Chain Management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP), particularly in the areas of production planning, scheduling, MRP and inventory managements
- Language skills: fluent in German & English
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and web-based applications
- Basic knowledge of Heavy Machine production or similar industrial production
