Your role in our team is to support our technology work to foster new product and application developments. In day to day business, you will create and evaluate concepts, design prototypes, conduct and interpret tests and present your results within the development team. Cross-functional communication with stakeholders in Marketing, Codes & Approval and Supply will give you valuable background to complement your product concepts regarding customer value on the one side and producibility and costs on the other side.

As intern in our department you’ll be part of Direct Fastening Development team. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop the direct fastening systems of tomorrow, following the whole development chain from idea to a functional prototype for a proof on concept and subsequent steps towards a serial product.
Your key responsibilities will be in the heart of product development. Based on requirements, you will create concepts and evaluate and rate them with the experts around you. Analyzing, designing, prototyping and testing in an agile way will help you to learn and re-fine your ideas until reaching design maturity. At the same time, you will be responsible for the communication with key stakeholders within your environment to sharpen requirements and integrate perspectives on cost and manufacturing technologies for future product visions.
