innovation centre for FPT and play a central role in the development of future powertrain
solutions (not only for diesel engines but also for electrified drivetrains, hybrid engines and
fuel cells, as well as for novel engine concepts and fuel types) and are therefore at the
forefront of a transition within Iveco towards a future of alternative propulsion systems.



To further grow our team, we are currently looking to fill position as

Automotive Test Engineer for eDrives (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Working in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the instrumentation, testing,
evaluation, reporting and testing coordination of the xEV related projects components
(e-motors and inverters) for FPT Industrial electrified powertrain product portfolio for
hybrid and full electric
  • Responsible for testing activities on electric motors and inverters as well as their
application to on-road vehicles and non-road applications
  • Develop tools and methods to efficiently extract/process the testing data in
collaboration with the components' owners
  • Update and maintain safety rules and including them into all considerations and
implementations for LV and HV eDrives Testing (mechanical, HV, thermals, etc);
  • Communicate results and make presentations that describe analysis and solutions
  • Collaborate with our Components & System Development teams for the definition of
control system requirements and the needed instrumentation as well as
environmental conditions and configurations including safety requirements
  • Close collaboration with various internal departments as well as external laboratories
and with universities
  • Specify bench components'/instrumentations' technical requirements (State of
Requirements) and evaluate technical proposals of suppliers (sourcing and technical
reviews).

Our requirements:

  • (Postgrad) degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
complimented by practical experience that also extends into the fields of Electrical
Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in the testing and evaluation of xEV eDrives and their
ancillary key components such as e-motors, inverters, pumps and sensors

  • Experience on conventional powertrain control systems, regenerative braking
integration and multi-speed automated transmission controls as well as with safety
critical electronic products for automotive/commercial vehicle electrified applications
  • Self-motivated with very good communication skills;
  • English fluency is mandatory, German skills appreciated
  • A valid work permit for Switzerland (not needed if you are a Swiss citizen or hold
a passport from an EU-26 or EFTA member state!)
