Ich habe mich über einen Personalvermittler beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 3 Monate. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei Facebook (Los Angeles, CA (Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)).
I was cold called by a recruiter from FB. He was super polite and we'll spoken and encouraging. We had a 30 minute conversation where we discussed my work experience, skills and desires. I then was moved forward to an interview with a content designer. That conversation was about 45 minutes. We discussed my work experience, what the interviewer liked and disliked about working there, etc. It must have gone well because I was then forwarded to the next step in the process, which was a design test, where you had to provide rationale and ideas for a fake product. I told the recruiter that I am not really a designer, but you get three days to do this thing. I have a lot of experience but I am a writer and researcher, not a designer. Too little information was provided. I did my best, submitted on time, then waited.... It took awhile for it to get "graded," I guess? I don't know what the criteria is. Probably based on some algorithm. Anyway, after several weeks, the recruiter scheduled a phone call with me, only to tell me that "it was close," but I didn't make the cut. I am not sure what I would have done had I been moved to the next stage, which would have been more interviews and defending your test approach. It doesn't seem like it should take this much work to get a job at a social media company. It's not the Pentagon! Plus, they really drag it all out needlessly.
