Pros
GE is a very dynamic workplace but you also get the chance to learn, grow and work with very smart people. This company has been offering true flexibility and room for initiatives for a long long time (not only with the pandemic). Leadership is inclusive and trainings offered in the company are state of the art.

Flexible working time, work from home... is strongly promoted. Salaries and holidays credit are OK. If I had something else in mind, I forgot it all. Only if you are a politician, GE is perfect place to exercise your skills daily. I heard, but cant confirm from my experience, the other businesses to Power may be a nicer place to work.

Since GE bought Alstom, Alstom team was first enthusiastic about having a new start and contributing to a moving business. During negotiations, good job was done to understand which portion of legacy portfolio of each company has best potential for new company. However, after decisions were made, they were not respected by middle management of legacy GE, which used any opportunity to discredit the decisions made during negotiation and promote GE legacy portfolio on any cost, mainly by faking technical data and business cases. There was no chance for soft, well behaving Alstom legacy team to win that games. During that time: GE legacy tendering teams and product management promoted in many cases GE legacy products even when that wasn't the best deal for the company, many things went wrong on customer projects... while the focus of the company was on internal fight instead on how to win competition. The result is lost of GE reputation, decline of company share and finally lost of several thousands of working places and great engineers on both sides. I understand the market situation etc, but no one can convince me the impact of market situation only would be so dramatic.
