India-based business knows a friendly cultural background (welcoming hearts and minds, open, sincere, helpful, patient) Young team (average age below 30, eager to learn) Patient clientele (believers) Solid product (upwards potential)

Poor people management (lack modern HR principles, L&D, onboarding, team organisation) Poor leadership (lack innovative vision, structure, trust) Poor sales leadership EU (lack integrity, competency, self-righteousness, no coaching experience) Although also a plus (hearts and minds), the Indian DNA is putting forth extra challenges for them to overcome in a diverse Europe. All in all, if you are from a western background, a performance-driven, experienced mid-career (30s) professional or manager in Sales or Marketing, this organization is not recommended. Excellent performance and cultural fit is not a guaranteed ticket to extension. Sales leadership treat their clients as second hand, no career growth opportunities and and promises made are easily broken. It must be said that they are learning, but have remained indecisive and unsuccessful in keeping people on board for the past 5 years.

Pros

First couple of years it was actually a good job filled with understanding and super cool people. Those people have either left or changed for the worse.

As Zoho has shifted focus to upmarket, they have shifted from being a “different” company to being like every other company. Went from remote to hybrid back RTO. However, they make exceptions for some people and not others. Very big on favoritism and fear mongering. There is definitely racial and gender discrimination there as well. People no longer enjoy working there. They just do what they have to so they stay under the radar or to make other look bad so they look good.
