Pros

The pay is the only thing that saves this place but it’s not even that great

Kontras

TubeWriter promotes itself as a high-growth, opportunity-rich environment. In reality, that growth often comes at the expense of structure, clarity, and sustainability. Expectations are high and consistently expanding, yet processes remain reactive and underdeveloped. Employees are frequently asked to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, resources, or strategic direction. What’s framed as “ownership” can often feel like being left to manage systemic gaps. Leadership emphasizes performance and revenue, but alignment and long-term planning can feel secondary to short-term problem solving. Communication is inconsistent, and priorities shift quickly, creating an environment where teams are constantly firefighting rather than operating proactively.

Pros

I really enjoy having the opportunity to travel and see new places for work, its nice to have a change of scenery every so often. Its also super nice that we get a wfh day once a week. Management is also fantastic.

Kontras

none, I love my job here. A lot is asked of you but I think it builds you both professionally and personally and if you want the opportunity to learn and grow your skills I think this is a great place to do that.

Pros

The biggest pro is definitely the pay. The base salary is attractive for a sales role, and there’s strong commission potential (more travel usually means more demos, which means more earning opportunities) That said, there is quite a bit of travel. Personally, I love that. I have friends all over the U.S., so it’s been nice being able to spend time with them while on the road. After working here for over two years, I’ve also come to really appreciate wearing multiple hats. If you lean into it, it becomes a great learning opportunity, and you pick up experience across different parts of the business pretty quickly.

Kontras

At times there can be a lot of change, which can make it harder to find consistent direction or leadership when you’re looking for advice. That’s probably the nature of a growing company, but it can still be challenging depending on what’s going on at the time. The office location can also be a bit of a drive if you live in downtown Austin. When I first started, I was definitely pretty stressed since I didn’t have prior experience in this type of sales, and the company was still figuring things out as it grew. But over time, that improved a lot — I’ve enjoyed the role more each quarter and feel much more comfortable now than I did at the beginning.
