Pros
Work with some of the smartest people in the world on pressing issues. Incredibly intellectually stimulating and exciting to contribute to policy research.

Pros
The office space is amazing but sadly it is rarely used. The organization's reputation used to be good but it is increasingly diminishing. Colleagues are smart though there has been so much turnover in recent years that the affinity for the Council that was once ubiquitous is now nearly completely gone. This organization used to be a true community. That doesn't exist now.

I am very concerned about my job security. Staff work hard here and are smart but the organization is not managed well. I don't know how the Council will have the budget to continue employing the number of people currently on staff. Promotions have nothing to do with merit. Just know the right person and you'll be okay. There is no incentive to go above and beyond at the Council.
