Pros
Many of the colleagues I went through the company changes with were in it for the long haul and we supported each other through the good and bad. When I started, the company culture was wonderful and supportive. I was able to advance my career and move up the ladder by mentorship from those above me. It was truly a different company than the one I left.
Kontras
Change in ownership destroyed everything great that made the company worth working for. I was convinced after my first day I would work for Tesco for the rest of my life, but once sold to private equity, everything changed. They brought in many inexperienced executives and refused to listen to those who had been with the company and knew what success looked like and how to achieve it. Instead of listening to how things were done or valuing people, they implemented changes without any regard for consequences. So many people left, and the current president does nothing but talk bad about former employees, and does it openly and by name! People with years of experience and knowledge are being publicly discredited by a man that brags about how many shades of red exist for firetrucks. The revolving door that seems to be the executive team has destroyed relationships with customers that have been in place since the start of the company. They also seem to change the organizational structure and peoples responsibilities on a monthly basis, with little regard to employees well-being. Not to mention how many contracts they have lost and are in litigation because they refused to listen to the people that tried to help.
