I’ve had a great experience working with my DPS team and colleagues at Standguide. I felt welcomed and supported in a very inclusive environment from the beginning. As a brand-new employee, my manager and colleagues went above and beyond to make my onboarding process smooth, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly and provide valuable training. I always felt comfortable asking questions, knowing they were there to help me succeed. One of the standout aspects has been the accessibility of my line manager, who consistently responds to my questions and concerns within an hour. This level of responsiveness has made a huge difference in feeling connected and supported in my role. Overall, the company has created an environment where I feel valued and encouraged to grow.

Working as a sessional tutor at Standguide has generally been a positive experience, especially when the workload is consistent. However, one significant challenge is the unpredictability of work. There can be long periods, sometimes lasting several months, where no assignments are available. This uncertainty can be stressful, especially for those relying on a steady income. Additionally, while the company offers a supportive work environment, I believe there’s room for improvement in the hourly pay range. In comparison to other organizations, the compensation could be more competitive. Addressing these aspects would make Standguide an even better place to work.
