I was told I had to dress nicely while all the men in the office were allowed to wear old and worn hoodies and sweaters, and I was eventually fired because my boss didn’t like that I ‘sniffled’ even though I provided proof that I was not sick. He sent me home almost for a full week despite the fact that I was not sick. The owner does not care about your performance and competence as a designer, he only cared about your appearance and was easily annoyed by ridiculous things. In short, he was an a-hole.
