Pros
Lots of pros. Empowerment, employee priorities are actually placed above business ones...yet they've been successful for 25 years. Go figure. Must be some secret sauce. HAHA. Educational funds, monthly employee lunches and BD/anniversary celebrations with gifts, opportunity to grow and advance. Top notch benefits, 401K matching and competitive salaries. Not much middle management at all. Help is available if you need it and everyone works as a team, back-filling for you when you have an emergency. Not a bunch of meetings. Not filled with politics. You can speak your mind all the way to the top.
Kontras
They expect you be self-driven and experienced, so if you need someone to tell you what to do each day, this isn't the company for you. Also, due to flat organization, you may not get frequent performance feedback if that is important. Small company with tight profit, so not much spent on decor or fancy marketing. There have been occasional furloughs over the 25 years, when a major contract expires without another in its place. However, they've typically even held off doing that by kepting people employed on other tasks and taken profit hits. When its occurred, most folks were re-hired...if still available...as quickly a new business arrived.
