Pros
So, here's the real scoop. I work here and love it. I also know, it's not rocket science, who posts a couple of recent negative reviews. NEWSFLASH... they don't work here anymore. They were either fired or left (I won't be specific) but they are no longer here for a reason. So, Glassdoor becomes little more than a place for a few to exact some sort of revenge. It's pathetic, actually. So here's what I know. No, I'm not management (I'd like to be), I'm also posting this anonymously so there's nothing to gain from this effort. Of course, the folks posting negatively certainly do benefit from anonymity, right? The supposed 5-year "current" employee isn't here either. Don't believe it just because it's on the internet. At any rate, the pay is fair, the industry is second to none and the people at Sellmark, iNCLUDING the president, CEO and current management are awesome folks who truly care about your well-being at work and even personally - not prying at all but humans and compassionate. Of course, they do expect hard work but they also say (and believe) "let's have fun and make money." Heck, we even have Ping Pong and Air Hockey available at lunch, the made a nice trail to walk behind the facility. My wife thinks I work at Google! Just this morning, they had a snow cone truck show up and bought everyone frozen ice! Does that sound like a horrible place to work? IT's NOT! Aside from traveling/events I haven't worked a single night or weekend for this company. They value family time and host company parties at the president and CEO's personal home for employees and their families. New products and/or promotional gear ready... it's not uncommon for them to give one to every employee. That costs them money. Heck, we even have days where we go to the shooting range to try new products and work with existing products... and get paid to spend the day or half-day just shooting and having fun! Seriously, I've been driving over an hour everyday to this job and never once have I thought, "I don't want to go to work." Not once. I enjoy coming everyday. Yes, you work hard. Your list of tasks never really gets shorter but you truly reap what you sow. Are there opportunities for advancement? Yes. Travel? Yes. Learning new things and working with cool products? Yes. Are there challenges? Yes, but you're not alone in them. We are a team. Do your work, have fun, spend time with great people and get paid. That's the long and short of it. I hope that helps. At the end of all of this you have to consider that the people here in Glassdoor blasting Sellmark and the leadership that helped put food on their tables should be looking in the mirror at what caused their descent. Come to work with a smile on your face, good attitude and ready to invest energy. I will say if your anti-gun, pro gun control or anti-hunting, this is probably not the place for you. We are Texans. We like guns, hunting, our Second Amendment and our Lone Star state of mind. Your career and your environment here are what you make them. "Character is destiny." Seriously, take the time to interview, visit, etc. It's a great place full of awesome people with amazing, valued talents.

Not much. Sometimes the tasks seem daunting but we get through them, learn from them and engaged new ones.
