However, once roles are established, I see very few opportunities for career growth, as the number of positions are shrinking. From a business perspective, Sandoz is doing well and will most likely continue to do well so long as they continue to launch new products

As part of Novartis, Sandoz was insignificant. Unprofitable for many years but getting bailed out from the innovative medicines business. Now standalone, Sandoz has nowhere to hide. All the previous issues and flaws are magnified and intensified. There are growing pains from the Novartis separation.
