Pros
- ability to shape the company or make changes if you don't like something is better than I have ever seen - kindness and coolness of the people working here +++ - genuinely flat autonomous structure that prioritises trust and transparency - genuine commitment to diversity and upskilling of under-represented peeps in tech. I've never worked in a place where we have such challenging and open conversations about diversity. It's not an easy topic but we don't shy away from it - A focus on doing good in the world - not working with bad people or bad products that are bad for people or the environment - a focus on more than tech when it comes to evaluating skillsets and also upskilling and training (e.g. team work, communication, interpersonal skills)
Kontras
- still very American centric with timezones which makes it hard for those working from elsewhere - some people can get decision fatigue because everyone is consulted about all major decisions (but I personally love this)
