Pros
Amazing perks, office is nice whenever I went in. Everyone friendly and welcoming. You do some interesting work and do get to work with some good people of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds. They have definitely got their diversity hiring on track and that’s about it.
Kontras
We cannot be ourselves, we need to align with the US culture and their ways. Weekly 1:1s and a hour long team meetings (plus wider team meetings) are killing productivity and ICs interests in their day to day job. Why have a team of say 10 spend 10 individual hours collectively attending a meeting that should have been an email? Meetings should be with stakeholders and have an open catch up with a manager when needed or at least once a month to review progress. Not very always open! Bordering on being micromanaged to an inch of our lives but no one talks about it.
