Distrust is fostered at all levels in most offices and managers encourage employees to distrust co-workers. Human Resources is embedded into teams to build negative profiles of employees in preparation for secret reductions in the workforce needed. Human Resources encourages employees to gossip about each other. Some management is threatened by change and some employees are threatened by change, yet these groups remain and are promoted. Orange postures competitively; the technology is not competitive. There is curtail on innovation and disruption to obtain a reputation of best in class. Marketing teams sometimes are pressured to create strategies that no one in management follows, the plans sit on the shelf when they could be used to increase corporate stature of technological achievements.
