Working on niche technologies, emerging fast as a renowned name in big data technologies with its wide range of solutions to big data problems. The overall team is young and dynamic, which is a fun to work with. Leadership team is approachable and listen to your issues. Specifically mentioning Shishir Kapoor (Centre head- Noida) is one of the best leaders. He is very approachable and himself, and is involved with the team directly. Farhan Baaqri (CTO) is a nice mentor and good leader who encourages the team members to perform their best and provides you the room to perform and grow. He is a great manager to work with. Admin and HR staff ( Nomita Bakshi and Shweta Gupta ) are good, supportive and innovative at bringing in new ideas and HR policies. Friday free lunch is there, which I miss now :-) Flexi timings and work from home are some of the great policies. Overall this is a good company to work for and I would like to work again for Opera if a matching opportunity comes up.

Its a small group, The process and policies are not clearly defined. Work is not process driven. Not many industry best practices are followed. Lot of scope for improvement in IT and software. People are not given opportunities to move across the boundaries like movement between IT, software and analytics is not there. No job rotations, makes it monotonous after some time.
