Pros

I have been with OSI for about 1.75 years (started July 2023) and I have felt heard, seen, understood by everyone here. I could not begin to explain how wonderful the mangers are here and how they treat others. I am supported and pushed to be the best version of myself here at OSI. OSI has a great IT cert program that allows us to grow our IT skills and move up in the company for this. They cover the cost of the exam (once you pass) and give bonuses out for completing them within a reasonable timeline (No matter how long you take, if you pass you will get a bonus). Not only do they encourage and help me grow, they understand life comes at you fast and are willing to work around your needs and any emergencies that arise. There has been a few times while working here that I had to put OSI in tough spot because of a family emergency and they always make sure I am supported first before my work. This level of support and dedication to me is what's most important. Last note, being able to work from home on Fridays after a month of training has been a great work life balance tactic for me.

Kontras

Only real con is PTO and sick hours are the same. This normally is not an issue for me since if I am sick, they will allow me to work from home for as long as I need.

Pros

Friendly staff, they are always happy to help. Not micromanaged by leadership, allowed to take ownership of my work and trusted to complete it

Kontras

Wish the benefits package was a bit better. It's not bad by any means, but I think it could be better

Pros

There is a clear and consistent path for growth. Management actually listens and is willing to communicate and help engineers when needed. PTO and even UPTO are adhered to without someone nagging you to clock in and help out. There are a wide variety of clients with varying infrastructure, solutions, and security implementations to learn from. If you walk away from this without at least learning one new skill set in the IT world you previously didn't have, you're doing it wrong. Escalation engineers give guidance on what to look for to help resolve issues and learn new things. Tech leads are incredibly knowledgeable and have no issue helping point others in the right direction or tackling issues themselves to assist.

Kontras

The last Saturday of every month is a work day albeit short.
