Pros
There is some very strong staff too learn off, fast paced environment and time flies.
Kontras
Training is basic. You can get pigeon holed into doing certain tasks if your good at it and you will not fully learn your trade. Senior management never wanted to know if a problem arose. Morale was extremely low across the board and efficiency suffered . Senior management didn't follow company policies for instance: they treated the performance appraisal as a tick the box exercise and made employees fill out the form and score themselves. One of the engineers wanted to go on further with his education/college and the director told him they can't afford 3k, ridiculous, company has a turnover of over a billion. Company policy says they should encourage that sort of training? If you want a pay rise, even if you demonstrate your being paid less than the market average they just say No, no reason or methodology. Director used to ignore staff until they were with the division for a year or more, strange! When you walked by, he would look at the floor or ceiling to avoid eye contact, made me feel inadequate. A couple of the senior project managers told me he did that just in case he had to sack us in the future, so he wouldn't feel bad. I was really shocked when they said this to me and it came from two senior people. Make sure any promises or pledges by management are added to your contract otherwise they will renague on what they said.
