Pros
-Autonomy when it comes to teaching style and content -Great opportunities to build relationships with students and learn about differentiated teaching techniques -Good community amongst teaching staff
Kontras
-Poorly managed: the owner has no education experience, makes terrible business decisions, and bullies his employees with threats of legal action and harsh words. There is high turnover among administration team as a result. -Terrible hourly pay, no salary options for teaching staff, and no benefits, PTO, or sick days. If school is canceled, you are sick, or you take time off, you don't get paid. -You have to sign a non-compete even though it's a school (won't hold up in court) -Tons of OSHA violations (time theft, everyone is kept a contract worker so the owner doesn't have to pay salary or provide benefits, very few safety and security measures in place)
