Kontras
The company is another example of the tech bubble. When the economy was good and everyone was focusing on growth at all costs, the company managed to grow at a rapid pace using shortcuts. With high valuation and lots of investor money, the company offered good salaries to attract top talent which they succeed but with the change in economic conditions and slow growth rate, things turned upside down which revealed management's true face. They don't live up to their values. - They fired many people because they planned to grow faster and failed and as the first option, they fired many people. - They didn't treat well to laid off employees. They paid the lowest they could according to everyone's contracts, without empathy for the people they laid off. - They keep setting up unrealistic targets and fail to reach them and then use it to fire people. - They talk about transparency but the company became less and less transparent. In the beginning, everyone's salary was open later they removed that. They told people there won't be any layoffs after the first round but 1 month later another mass layoff happened where they laid off 1/3 of the company. - Work-life balance is another aspect they promise while hiring but then they expect everyone to work longer and even on the weekends to reach the targets. - Many people feel insecure and trying to make as much money before they get fired as they are paying top of the market salary. So good place to make money but that money comes with its cost.
