Pros

DC is full of many kinds of companies. From large companies that give you a recognizable brand and fancy title but not much else to staff aug companies that simply treat you poorly. It's hard to find companies that are in between and even harder to find one that is growing. ITG is a small company and over the last couple years I've watched the owners take 1 step at a time to strategically grow it. I've been able to grow my technical abilities, my consulting skills, and even my professional network. I've been given opportunities and been challenged to deliver on high profile projects that a larger company would certainly give to someone with . more years of experience. No company is perfect, but ITG is a great place to grow.

Kontras

Small companies that grow fast do go through growing pains. We've never had a orgn chart for example. I think we can do a better job giving opportunities for people to mature and move from project to project. I also think we can do a better job providing employees time at work to pursue some of their own technical ideas. I hear of plans a lot but there doesn't always seem to be follow through or accountability for items

Pros

Very strategic upper management, with a clear direction on where they want to take the company. The company invests heavily in hiring the right people and will do whatever it takes to keep top talent. Open door policy empowers all employees, from junior to senior level, the ability to introduce ideas that can help shape the face of the company. Each and every employee is empowered to take ownership in the direction of the company as there is a very tight 'team' feel to the organization. Junior resources are looked to as the future of the company and as such as are put into work situations that force them to grow outside of their comfort zones.

Kontras

Company has seen incredible growth in the past 2+ years, but internal infrastructure has not kept up with that growth. Processes and procedures are immature, disorganized, or rarely followed. This is a natural effect of a small, rapidly growing company, where many people wear many different hats. Ultimately this is not sustainable, but there are signs of this improving, starting with the hiring of a full time COO in 2015 and initiatives being put in place in Q1 2016.
