Pros
Flexibility of working hours and environment is good and the majority of the people that work at Halcrow are easy going. There is little consequence for not delivering projects on time. This makes for a low stress environment where work life balance is fairly easy to achieve.
Kontras
There is a lack of direction or conflicting views from management which is exacerbated by the general easy going attitude within the company. The IT department appears to be is under-funded which has led to 'cheap' staff being employed in Manila even though Halcrow does not have a large business presence in Manila. Decisions at Halcrow always take a long time to be made and once made the cogs do not exacly spring into life to get projects moving along. 'Old school' thinking is prevalent.
