There are more managers than necessary, and some demonstrate clear favoritism. Certain managers tend to hire people they already know and gradually give preference to those individuals over existing team members. This pattern is reflected in the appraisal data. Engineers who are close to the manager are often not directly contributing to critical deliveries that impact the end customer. Instead, they are encouraged to participate in multiple discussions to increase their visibility with the external team and are assigned safer deliveries, typically with support from other engineers. As a result, the additional workload and overhead fall on the rest of the team.

* I enjoyed the collaborative team culture. Everyone was supportive and willing to help each other. * The work-life balance was good, and the overall working environment was relatively low stress. * I had opportunities to work on large-scale enterprise products and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
