Experience depends on your project assignment. If I have a challenging day, I remember the road blocks that I experience the management tries to address. There is truly an effort to make the company an employee friendly place. Like all companies who have a sudden growth spurt, there have been bumps in the road. The owners do listen and try to make improvements to the workflow, reviews, support and suggestion channels. They desire to keep the small company feel by providing sodas, coffee and orange juice. Once a month, they treat contractors and employees with a free lunch.
Education is encouraged strongly. They understand if their team builds their skills, the company is more marketable for other contracts or partnerships.
Telecommunting several days 1 - 3 days a week is encouraged as long as you are able to complete tasks and deadlines.
Kontras
Some managers do not have the talent to manage or communicate properly. Employees give feedback that informs their sr. managers where their functional managers need to focus their skills.
Job Opportunities are plentiful for Maryland employees. Non-Maryland residents have been considered for Maryland posted positions but the employee must have a history of working hard and being a great communicator.
