The pay for this role is abysmal and highly unfair. You have to write an essay just to get a £1k per year pay rise but they’ll happily increase the pay for a new starter with no hesitation just to get people in the door. This has meant many of the new starters are being paid more than the most experienced people on the team that take on multiple extra roles. Any time this is bought up, we are shut down by management. Clearly loyalty means nothing here. Management clearly have favourites who are allowed to get away with job avoiding and one particular team lead consistently oversteps by gossiping to people on the team about other employees personal lives/issues during monthly 1 to 1s and practically bullies the people they don’t like to the point where the team has seen half the people leave in the last 12 months. People do not feel they can come forward and report these issues because they will only be treated even worse or the higher managers will just defend the team leaders bad behaviour.
