Disputes with external partners occurred despite signed contracts, further worsening operational challenges. Capable and experienced staff were dismissed, while less suitable and incomplete teams were retained. Management placed excessive trust in a single highly paid employee without sufficient checks and balances, leading to ineffective decision-making. As a result, both BoConcept and USM brands were eventually taken over by new owners, despite the strength of the brands themselves. Multiple outlets closed over time.
