    Great people, interesting work, excellent commitment & strong work ethic. Growing internationally, meaning many opportunities. Great learning opportunities for graduates and young professionals. Excellent exposure to banking and finance industry. Curiosity, competency and responsibility are valued. Competitive salaries. Good training and certification program. Central office locations.

    Kontras

    Loss of culture, through purely financial and bottom line pressures. No desire by management to invest or improve. Manually intensive and repetitive work is tiresome and boring. Old technology stack inhibiting progress and improvements. No clear strategy to gain efficiency through intelligent investment. Financially driven to meet unrealistic objectives without any stakeholder buy-in. Teams are pushed to deliver more but not empowered to do so - translates to long hours and lots of human errors. High churn of staff and difficulty in recruiting high-calibre candidates. Internal mobility or international opportunities take too long. Too many reorganisations leaving instability and uncertainty. People are too busy to do their basic job and everything is continually late. Bonus system demotivates rather than incentivize due to lack of transparency. All processes and procedures are pinned to the knowledge and ability of a few key individuals. To many managers and not enough leaders.

    The company has a solid foundation and big clients They seem to be level headed trying to see in to the next phase of the business

    Kontras

    Work on client site instead of in the Avaloq office (this was not explained in the interview process) Steep learning curve with little to no guidance Assumption that everyone is the same and therefore everyone goes through the same process of progression regardless of skill or previous experience
