RCL shipping business encompasses feeder and liner business moving shipper owned containers (SOC) and carrier owned containers (COC) throughout Asia. Its fleet is comprised of more than 40 container vessels (with capacities ranging from 500 to 3,000 twenty-foot equivalents or TEUs) that cover some 70 destinations in the Asia/Pacific region and the Middle East. The ships are operated by subsidiary RCL Shipmanagement. In addition to marine transport, RCL offers logistics services through subsidiary RCL Logistics. The company was founded in 1979 by major shareholder Ngow Hock Co. Ltd.
